A simpler way to snap an object's origin to a selected vertex, edge, or polygon.
Shortcut key CTRL+SHIFT+Right-click
Procedure:
Go to an Object's sub-component, select the vertex, edge, or polygon you want the origin to move to, and press CTRL+SHIFT+Right-click
You can even select a group of vertices, edges, or polygons, then press CTRL+SHIFT+Right-click.
